Also, how did you find an ob/gyn? Did you have a recommendation from a family member? Or did you just look through the phone book?

Your first appointment should be before 13 weeks. So about four weeks after your missed period. Once you know you are pregnant, get that appointment. I found my ob/gyn through my sister, but I also checked her out first. If you don't want to go to one of your friend's or families, go through the Phone book, circle all the one that are in the area you want, and make phone calls. Ask lots of questions. You can even go to the office and check it out. See how you feel while you are there. Then make your decision.

Most doctors wish to see you somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks. If you are going to be a new patient, then make an appointment as soon as possible. I would recommend finding an Ob-Gyn that is close to your home and delivers at a hospital that you wish to go to. Ask some friends and family members for their recommendations. I would recommend going to a clinic where you will see a number of doctors. The wait is usually shorter at these clinics. Congrats on the pregnancy!!!

As soon as possible. You can find an ob/gyn any way you want to. I already had an ob/gyn whom I saw once a year for my pap smear, I believe I found him through my insurance. Referrals are a good way too.

I made my appointment for as soon as my ob could see me. And I had a great ob--the kind that wants his patients to come in asap. That really made me feel safe about him.
I found him from calling a local Pregnancy Center. I really wanted a doctor who was strongly pro-life to protect the life of our baby. I asked the Center who they recommended the most--and they gave me his name.

I would call the doctor right away and let them know. They usually want you to be around 8 weeks when they see you--and when you find out you are probably about 4-5 weeks already. But call now, because prenatal visits fill up fast and you want a time that is convenient for you.

I would go asap, as when I found out I was pregnant..I had to wait almost 2months to see the midwife! and then I had a late scan aswell! my first scan was when I was 16weeks(Im 17 weeks now) and My 2nd scan is booked for a month later(which is round about right for the 2nd scan).

i did not recognize how a approaches alongside i change into both by way of abnormal classes. My well-being practitioner scheduled an ultrasound asap. yet, ultrasounds are frequently in straight forward words fairly precise if you're earlier than 12 weeks. so that they're going to be able to provide you a due date...yet likely in straight forward words a wager on how a approaches alongside you're.
