Sometimes it's impossible for me to wake up in the mornings, I wake up feeling like I need 5 hours more sleep. I have no problems geting to sleep, and I sleep throughout the entire night. But it seems like if I don't get like 12 hours of sleep, I am tired and groggy all day.....any suggestions??

Just because you sleep all night does'nt mean its quality sleep. It may be stress, something you ate or a bad mattress. I have been sleeping on a off brand tempurpedic mattress and it has done wonders for me.

You feel tired and groggy because you are sleeping too much. Sleeping anything more than 7 Hrs is Bad !
Initially, you will have to force yourself to get out of bed. Go out and take a long brisk walk for 30 minutes.
I'm sure after a week, your body will adjust to a healthier lifestyle.

Sounds like you may be anemic and/or suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. Actually, you could have a serious medical problem that if left untreated, could be disastrous to your health and well being. You need to go have your blood work done when you visit your doctor. You could have a heart problem. You could have a problem with oxygen absorption in relation to your lungs and heart. You could have iron poor blood, anemia, which can be deadly. You could even have leukemia. You could be depressed. You could have a serious vitamin deficiency. It could be simple or life threateningly serious. Please schedule a doctor appointment and have your blood work work done, okay? It could save your life. Sleeping 12 hours is just not normal or healthy. I want you to be happy and healthy so go to the doctor, okay? Good luck.

Avoid caffine after 8pm. Ensure you are also getting enough exercise during the day. When your alarm clock goes off in the morning get up. That second sleep is no good to anyone. Avoid oversleeping.

Do you snore? Investigate sleep apnea - a very common side effect is waking up feeling very tired.
