I'm also going with Pantene. Just get the right one for your hair, just like any other shampoo/conditioner. My mom uses Pantene all the time. Her hair is color treated and waste length and it looks healthier than my short non-colortreated hair. Try getting a trim and use a deep conditioning treatment once a week, stay away from heat...dryers, irons, etc. And don't over brush or comb your hair.
Deep cond. treatments can be done once a week, but if your hair is really fried or very dry, try doing it every couple or few days, then switch to once a week.

I watched this show called "the shopping bags" that test products, and they did conditioners and shampoos. There is no product out there that will repair your hair. Only cutting it will repair it. They said not to buy into ones that say they will repair split ends and what not. They won't work!!!! However, there are products that will "help" the condition of it. But again, they said that the expensive ones aren't necessary either. Just what works for your hair is what you should use. It did say on any product you use, look for the ingredient ELASTIN or something of the sort. The higher up on the ingredient list, the more it contains.
I would sample a few and see which makes your hair feel and look the best, but i guess keeping it trimmed is the best. (I hate trimming my hair, and havent for 2 years). I personally like matrix. It makes it smooth and easy to comb.
Good luck!!

I don't know that a shampoo would be able to do it either. My former hair stylist told me to use Biosilk Silk therapy about 7 or 8 years ago when I first went to her with severely damaged hair. She said it actually repairs the hair shaft and split ends, in addition to hiding it. It doesn't work overnight, by any means, but I've found that to be true. I color and highlight my hair every 2 1/2 months and you would never know it. (I don't care for their shampoo & conditioner though.)

If your hair is overprocessed, there is nothing out there that will "repair" it. Just like when your nail splits, you have to clip it, the same goes with your hair - if you have split ends, cut em off. NOTHING is going to "repair" split ends. As for smoothing hair, I use Paul Mitchell on my untreated but very curly hair - of course, conditioners are temperary and do not "cure" any problems with your hair. Only letting it grow out and leaving it alone (except for cutting it!!) will "cure" it.

You never mentioned what's wrong with your hair but one product I've used for overprocessed hair is Infusium (at most drug stores and not expensive). Use the whole line of products though for maximum effect. Good Luck!

yea, you can try using k-pak. you can find it at any salons and it works wonders on your hair. it helps with the split ends and helps to keep it healthy. it usually runs about 30 dollars a bottle so it is kindof expensive but so worth it!!!
