We are hosting a mall scavanger hunt for 15 brownies in 2 weeks. Has anyone done this before? Would like list of items we could find at the mall that doesn't cost money. Any links, or suggestions to make this a success will be appreciated.

www.scoutingweb.com is my absolutely favorite site. If you can't find it there, you don't need it.

Your timing may not be great, this is the busiest time of year for retailers - the malls are packed, the clerks are hassled and tired, and may not always welcome a group of little girls rushing in and interrupting business. The girls need to know that they are not to try and ask for things when a sales clerk is with a customer, that will get them thrown out real quick. Having said that, some things to "hunt" for could be a red - or blue or whatever color - paperclip, a little snippet of ribbon, - anything that pretty much any store is going to have, and won't mind parting with. I used to get little scavenger hunters all the time at my store, and they were always fun - IF I wasn't busy!

try getting a list of things that are around the mall but make sure the girls are with an adult, like someone said this is the busiest time just make sure they dont bother the clerks. like pick big things that they can spot out and then everything would be fine
