I'm filipino american, I'm trying to understand more about who I should bless. Usually I make mano to my lolo or lola or any other elder. Is it ok If I bless my tita? or should I just give a besso? what about my Tito's? Usually I give them a hand shake, should bless my eldest tito? or should I bless all titos?

someone make me understand please.

oh either way should work....
but what i usually do is a bless to my lolo or godfather...
beso-beso is good with your tita, lola, or godmother...
well with your uncle... uhm if they are friendly enough a shake and a tap on the back or shoulder... you know like americans do
oh yeah... oldest or not...they are still all your titos of titas, so treat them as your tito and tita no matter what their ages are....
the toughest part in this situation is identifying who is your family members i mean most filipino are extended family and it would be tough recognising who is your titos, titas, cousins or their husbands and wives... its nice if you got someone who knows everyone in your side to tell you who is to how... have a nice time with your filipino family

Filipinos usually use bless. Its a traditional way of giving respect to kin older than you. Some old folks dont like the beso beso. They admire most greeting a person thru bless specially from you a Filipino american.

Either way is okay. It shows respect to elders. But as for my aunt or any woman relative, "beso beso" or a kiss on the cheek is okay. For uncle or any male relative, I take the hands and do the blessing gesture. I find it awkward to kiss the cheek of my uncle. Sorry it might just be my imagination.

Bless to all of them as a sight of a very respectful nephew. But you can kiss them after you bless. I am sure, they will be happy to see an Amboy doing courtesy the Filipino way by saying "Mano po, Tito."
I hope you will enjoy your stay here :) Oh, be sure not to drink tap water. Always drink bottled mineral water. Also bring mosquito repellent so as not to become a victim of dengue.
Again have a nice vacation and MERRY CHRISTMAS, too.

Beso beso would be good for the titos and titas. For the lolos and lolas, bless it should be.

My lolo and lola don't want to let their gray hair to be pulled out... my tita and tito do, but I wasn't good at it... my cousin though is good with it... they didn't pay us at all... in fact, I think, I'm the one that should pay them, because sometime, they tried to pulled some of my gray hair, but I said no, because it's a sign of wisdom... LOL!!!

I am a Filipino - Canadian and I would do what Filipinos in the Philippines do, if I am in the Philippines. When in Rome, do as what the Romans do, so they say.

for us traditionalist filipinos, we prefer the mano po from young generations -from children to grandchildren, to nephews and nieces.
