Babies can't actually see anything but shadows until about 2 months of age.

A babys eye sight does not develop until after bith. all they can really tell from there eyes in the womb is light from dark. Even after the birth they still do not see more that 5 to 6 inches from there face.

At about 26-27 weeks the fetus eyelids will open and they will be able to detect light outside the womb. Last night my man was taking pics of my bump which he does about every week or so and she startled after the first flash for the first time since he started doing the pics.
