I have eczema and it causes my skin to really dry. I love to wear make up. The foundations that I have now make my face look even dryer and you can see my dry skin peeling. Does anyone know of a foundation that I can use

What kind of foundation are you currently using? Mineral makeup is really great for people with eczema. I'm a makeup artist who happens to have a sister with eczema and she uses mineral makeup. It really helps alot since it has no irritants. Check out my article on Mineral Makeup at http://www.papierdoll.net/content.php?ID=459. I give places where you can get mineral makeup and what brands are good.

Hope that helps,

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Best Eczema Treatment?

I agree on the Bare Minerals, however, I think the brushes hurt my sensitive skin. Also, it is a powder and it tends to feel dry on those days that my eczema is really bad. But it covers well and my skin does not react to it.

My favorite liquid foundation to use is from Origins. It's lightweight, oil-free, creamy, and does not aggitate my skin. I LOVE IT. Also, try their mushroom facial line for cleansers and moisturizers. I've been using it and I have not had eczema on my face for 6 months!!!

Try doing a meltdown with cediphil before putting on your makeup. Apply the cleanser to your face and count backwards from 20, then wipe the cleanser off with a cotton pad, your skin will have a dewy moisture mantle that will help your makeup cover your dry skin. Use a lighter foundation formula, thick heavy makeups dry your skin out as the day goes on.

Try Benefit cosmetics, "You Rebel" tinted moisture foundation. Its light but it covers great.

Rimmel cosmetics has a great line of foundations that don't dry out, especially when your finish with a light coat of moisturizer, or try finishing with almays "moisture stick" its pure vitamins and essential oils. (not good for acne prone skin, but great for sensitive dry skin)

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/guEdr

I use bare minerals I love it and will never go back to liquid foundations. They sell it at the sephioras, in the newer JCPennys. I bought the starter get and now when I buy the replacements I buy the bigger containers they last forever! I bought mine back in Feburary and I still have at least half the container left.

You can order more things on qvc.com if you like the starter kit. Less is MORE! It covers flawlessly with just a small amount of it.
