Yes it was Mr Branson and according to an interview with Daniel Craig in a show about the making of the film. Richard donated the plane so I guess it was a bit of free advertising.

It's Richard Branson...if you check out the plane that is taking off a few seconds after that scene...it's a Virgin Atlantic plane....do you think Sir Richard PAID for that publicity??? LOL!!!!
