I've never had problems before it just started happening today. I'm typing my term paper and all I have opened is Microsoft word, internet, and itunes. All of a sudden the screen would turn blue with all these number and configuration...like the one that pops-up when something is wrong...you only see it for 1 second and then the pc would just restart. When I reopen, a message stating the the pc has recovered from serious a problem would pop-out and asks me if i want to send a report to microsoft. When I send it, I get a summary that it has something to do with a device driver. Anybody can help??

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.
Or it might be mechanical problem or part that needs to be changed.

If it goes to a quick blue screen and then starts restarting, then you sorta have a virus. If you are downloading a lot of programs or music, this symptom comes with those sort of things. What i have done to resolve this issue is just to do a virus scan and delete all types of Virus, Trojan, or Potentialy Unwanted Program you find. Ive used AVG ,Norton, and McAfee. They to me work best.

Contact Microsoft to help you. Since problems can sometimes take awhile to resolve, if your term paper is due soon I would try to find something else to put it on.

it could also be that your laptop is overheating. If the CPU fan isn't running, then the heatsink isn't transferring the heat off the CPU which can overheat quickly and will spontaneously shut down with no warning.

Well, my dad can build a computer from scratch and my computer was doing that, so he just downloaded a virus protection thing and my computer works as good as new.
