What shoes should i wear to a formal?

This is a stupid question, but Im going to a formal for work. Its about 65 degrees out (way above normal) should i wear sandals or high heels with silk black thigh highs (by V.S.)? Im wearing a halter dress. I want to wear the close toed heels but it seems most of the girls are wearing opened toe!

From a guys point of view I would want to see a lady at a formal in a black dress, and opened toed shoes with silk thigh highs. You can't go wrong wearing V.S.!!

I say wear high heels, with the silk thigh highs i hope your dress is festive and sexy but classy . oh if your gonna wear that halter dress remember it's your job. get a beautiful broach to pin the plunging neck so you won't ruin your classy but sexy look. having your boobs in your bosses face is not cute at all. remember office gossip . good luck and have a great time

you could wear a shoe with a tiny heel, they are pretty comfy or sandals just make sure they look cute with your dress :)
