FOR
- If parent's desperately want a particular sex, they may not be able to fully love a child if it was the other sex; they shouldn't, morally, I know - but it does happen
- It can be used for good reason to enhance the child's and others' lives i.e. to make sure a boy has a brother and so has someone he can talk to and play with
- It doesn't do anyone any harm
- Religious counter argument: God gave us the technology and ability to create such processes
AGAINST
- Religious reasons: you shouldn't play God
- To be a capable parent in the first place you should not be bothered about sex
- Nature should be allowed to take it's course
- It's morally wrong to adapt genetics to your "criteria list"
- It undermines the love and care at the heart of parenting
- Sex is an unimportant thing and there is no good reason to choose it that warrants meddling with genetics

I accept as true with Steph, who makes a sturdy factor. good now, the skill to do it is imperfect. There are theories as to what to consume and that putting the sperm right into a centrifuge can separate the sperm which carry the male chromosome may well be separated from those carrying the female. That then is composed of man made insemination, which isn't continually useful. In a manner, i assume you will desire to look at it as a inhabitants administration. i understand people who've had 5 or 6 or extra toddlers all an identical intercourse in hopes of having one in all the different intercourse. as an occasion, 4 boys and hoping for a girl, or vice-versa. they only shop having young toddlers, hoping for a girl or a boy. maximum couples are happy with a woman and a boy, which might cut back their toddlers to 2 fairly of many.

For
1. Ability to choose the sex of a baby in a country like China would lead to less orphaned girls. China only allows each family to have one child, due to overpopulation, therefore most families only want sons, leaving the girls to be abandoned.
2. If a family had four sons/daughters in a row and the mother/father really wanted a son/daughter they could choose to have whichever they wanted without having to try over and over again.
Against
1. If people had the ability to choose the sex of the child, it could lead to an uneven amount of boys vs. girls or girls vs. boys. Especialy in a country such as China.
2. Many unforeseen porblems could evolve out of being able to choose the sex of the baby.

I'm probably in the minority, but I believe anything that interferes with nature to be morally wrong. There are societies that value babies of one gender over an another (i.e China), if we interfere too much, we just upset the balance of nature. This has been shown time and time again, but unfortunately the human species is either too stupid or too arrogant to learn.

Firstly it's spelt against not againced.
For: It would stop unwanted babies like when someone tries for a girl and keeps getting boys they end up with 6 kids when they only wanted the one.
Against: It's just not natural.

No it's like opening your presents before Christmas.
But if you carry genes for a disorder that mostly affects one gender, and you can choose to implant only embryos of the other gender, that has to be a good thing.
