Our child did not like dolls and barbies ( thank god). I got her educational toys. We started with legos, which they can build into anything they want. We bought a cassette recorder and cassettes, which she helped pick out. There are alot of great children stories, ones with eductional touch where they put in real facts. Whats always good is ofcource art supplies, our daughter just loved drawing for hours, 9 years later she is still at it. What is also very good are musical instruments, they have special ones for kids, it really gets their mind going, our daughter still plays - trumpet, E-gitarren and normal gitarre.
It might be that you have a real smart child, so work with that. If she wants wisdom give it her. Talk to her and make suggestions with examples, then take your time shopping for the correct items.
After awhile when my daughter could pick out whatever she wanted at toysrus she wanted a casette and book so she could read along, she was just eight, and I was happen she was really interested in learing.
But overall talk to her, listen to her interests wishes, youll know what to get.
PS Its normal for girls not to want to play with dolls, its society that wants them in the kitchen later.

get her coloring books or let her listen to music such as Martina Mcbride..... or let her draw be creative. piano, usage board games, reading appropriate for kids @ age 7 things that entertain her.

Tinkertoys! Old school but allows a child to be creative and build whatever he or she likes. You can even join in.
