I live in fabulous Kentucky! Okay, maybe not fabulous all the time but it does have its moments. Here are the top three attractions in my state:
1. The moonbow (http://d21c.com/moonbud/moonbow.jpg) is located in Corbin (where the original KFC is also located, by the way) and is a rainbow that happens at night over Cumberland Falls. But, it only happens once a month (on a full moon) and can only be seen if the sky is clear. Apparently it is the only reoccurring one in the world.
2. Mammoth Cave is the most extensive cave system known in the world. Lots of things happened here (to many to list) so here is a site : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammoth_Cave_National_Park#History
3. Fort Knox is pretty cool....though, you can't enter it or take pictures. Its where the U.S. stores all the gold....so I guess the third most popular thing to see in my state would be the Kentucky Derby (the horse races).
There are many other places to go though, like Renfroe Valley (the Grand Ole Opry of Kentucky) and Abe Lincolns place.

In Alabama? Lots and lots. Hard to choose from.
1) Little River Canyon. The largest canyon east of the Rockies. Really breathtaking.
2) Birmingham in springtime. The hills, the graceful architecture, and the glorious flowers.
3) The Alabama beaches of the Gulf. Best beaches anywhere, without the crowds you find int he Florida Panhandle.

Michigan-
Lake Michigan coast. Its full of beaches and 400 foot sand dunes. Sparkling blue water, too. Its very beautiful.
Pictured rocks National Lakeshore. Many miles of lake superior coastline with hundred foot tall cliifs, waterfall, virgin forests with huge trees. Very beautiful up that way.
Maybe go to greektown in downtown Detroit. You might be thinking that its a peice of crap because its in DETROIT, but its actually nice. Its got a ton of greek restarants and its right by the stadium where the Tigers play. Its also got a few casinos.
