In my opinion, he ties the tie very loose. Usually you pull the tie tight when you tie it (at least I do). He just sort of loops it around and never really pulls it tight. He pulls it tight up to his neck, but not when he's folding it around itself.
It also takes away from the length, if you watch him on the pre game shows, and their on the side field with their jackets off the tie only comes down to the middle of his chest.
