And... have you ever heard someone try and do a fake Boston accent? It's pretty ugly and horrible. Also I have family that lives there and they don't even have Boston accents. Not everyone who lives there has it, and I've always wondered why that is. Anyways...

Just bc they are in Boston they do not have to have one. Not everyone you come in contact with daily in your town has the same accent as you. It's TV!!!!

Probably because like most people from Boston, they are from other parts of the country. PS-one of the lawyers from that show is now on Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights...Camryn something. (at least I think that is her)

the same reason when I change planes at the airport in NYC --- I hear all those southern accents just like when I have to change planes in Atlanta....
