That is why I do not shop Best Buy! (Besides, the Best Buy is about an hour from where I live). I'd much rather take the time to go to the nearest Military Base (near where I live -- since I am Retired Military) and shop the Military Exchanges sales after Thanksgiving -- no shoving, no nutty lines the day before ... and PLENTY of stock when you get inside. Just such a pleasant environment to do my After Thanksgiving shopping and I enjoy the fact that everyone is well-mannered in the store.
By the way -- $200 is a LOT of money to anyone who has to work HARD to EARN that income -- which is most of the WORLD! So yes, it DOES mean the a big difference to the family budget.

Because $200 might buy an extra gift or two for family or friends they might not otherwise be able to buy for.
Some people aren't so wealthy that they can afford to just throw away $200 for fear that they'll be perceived as weird.
ADDED: Oh, I see - so instead of spending an extra 12 hours with their family, they should work those twelve hours for the extra $200 instead of giving up a few early morning hours to save the money. I'm guessing you're not an economist or financial advisor *rolling eyes*

People like to save money. But beyond that, why do people line up for concert tickets, go to casinos, watch football on TV or participate in any activity.? Everyone has a different idea of what is entertaining. Who are we to question what they do, as long as they aren't hurting other people.

What time you get to the save relies upon on the place you reside. case in point, I stay in Minnesota. If it particularly is chilly exterior (in the young infants and 20's), human beings will line up at 10pm. If it particularly is heat (above 30 tiers), peple in many circumstances start up lining up at 6pm. via 5am whilst the save opens, there are already thousands of people in line. forget approximately approximately getting a computer, computing device computing gadget, or television while you're actually not in the applicable a hundred human beings in line. i will tension via the superb purchase close to my domicile on Thanksgiving commencing at 4pm to learn on the line. i will tension via each one million.5 hours till I see human beings start up lining up. it particularly is as quickly as I haul *** to the parking zone (with my wintry climate kit and snoozing bag) and camp out. I even have continually recieved the products on my record.

Because there idiots with nothing to do but wait for "huge savings", not realizing the best way to save some money is to simply stay at home. Who the hell needs a 52" television anyways, are these people blind?

They line up to, according to them, be a part of history and be the first customers to purchase a Playstation 3 or whatever game system is premiering on that day.

It is crazy! I remember hearing about someone in a Wal-Mart in Canada dieing from being trampled because he was stocking "Tickle-Me-Elmo's". People loose all sense of what is important this time of year.
