Some chinchilla farms feed the carcasses of the skinned to those alive to cut costs. Some are kept in cages so small they cannot turn around (so they don't ruin the fur). some are killed by electrocution (again so the fur isn't ruined)....In this day and age I'd say its cruel but then again its MY opinion. In MY opinion it also depends on the fur. Leather....we use all parts of the animal.....so at least its not wasted. I, personally, do not wear animal products If I know of it.....I'm not an animal activist but I do find it a bit gruesome......to each his own.

We live in a time where we no longer need to wear fur. With many faux fur alternatives available, why use the real thing? Trust me, I have been fooled. We claim to be such moral and humane creatures, so why can't we act that way?

They don't beat the animals to death to get the fur so I don't see how it's being mean to them. I think it's like everything else, people want to make more out of a situation.

Is cruel to animals but it looks nice on people that are willing to pay the price.
