2. HCl

3. a salt is formed, for example:

1) NaOH - anything with a group 2 element and ending in OH is a base (theres exceptions)

2) HCl- anything with a group 1 element and ending in Cl is an acid (theres exceptions)

3) a salt is formed- say u combined the acid and base above, NaOH and HCl. During neutralization the Na breaks up with the OH and the H breaks up with the Cl. Then the H pairs up with the OH, forming water (H2O)and Na pairs up with the Cl (NaCl, aka table salt)

Truly,All the above are basic in nature with pH>7
Water acts as both acid and base depending on situation
However for lower studies is believed to be neutral

NaCl is salt of str.base NaOH and str acid HCl and is hence neutral

Na2CO3 is salt of str base weak acid and hence is basic

However NaOH is Complete Base

2>HCl is acid as it gives H+ in aqueous solution
The rest are salts.

3>Acid + Base ------------------>Salt + water.
So, a salt is formed.

HCl + KOH----------->KCl + H2O
