I got it when I was 21 and now I'm 31, do you ever out grow the ink from your youth?

No, if it was done poorly. The only thing you could hope to happen is for the inch to fade.

Why remove it? Have you thought of other tatoos you might like and you can embelish it more to your liking.

That's why its uber important to stress the affects of having tatoos at an early age. With technology now it may not matter cauese you can have anything removed, sewn, glewed, drilled to stay in place.

Think before you decide your next step, at least this time around you know to invest more thought, than you did 10yrs ago.

You wont out grow it... it will always be there but it will fade which will make it not look that great anyways. You could get it removed, or covered up with something you like more! If you go to a half decent place they can do a really good job and you'll have a brand new (brighter) tattoo that you actually like, and it wont hurt anywhere near as much as getting it removed would!

You can cover it with something else if you want, or if you dont want any ink at all you can remove it. If it is really colorfull it will take a few sessions to remove it, if it's a little warn out then it will be easier to remove. I have 7 tattoos and LOVE them all, I hope that I never out grow them, but it's a personal thing.

Everyone should move with the world. It was great that you had the tatoo since last ten years but if you are bored with y to keep it.
Just remove it & try something different something creative & then you will feel more comfortable coz everyone will see a change in you.
You wil feel more confident when you'll see yourself in the mirror & this will show a better side of your life.
In short jus replace it with something creative & enjoy life at its best.

I'm 35 and I have 3 now and its been 10 years or maybe even more since I got them. I put them on my back and ankle and I am never tired of them because I do not see them very often and when I catch it in the mirror every so often, I love them. I think you go through phases and I think instead of wasting the money it takes to remove it, just let it pass. It'll be cool again to you in a few weeks. :-)

My tattoos are still in the younger stages (5 years old) but if you are really tired of it, maybe you could get it covered up with something else, since you say it's small. Do you have kids? Maybe you could get their names put over top of it somehow. Talk to your artist, if he is worth his salt he will find a way for you to cover things up without the expense and pain of removing it.

No, don't get ride of it. There is nothing hotter than a girl with a tatoo. If your tired of it go to a tatoo parlor and get it changed into something cool and meaningful and persona; rather than something that you think is a good idea at the time. You are probably tired of your tatoo cuz it is meaningless.

Well I have a small rose tattoo also, in the same spot, go figure. But I love it, I know I often think why did I get it but, I'm glad I did. I got it in high school with some of my friends and it reminds me of them. So if it means anything to you, like mine does to me, I would have to say keep it. Roses are symbols of love. I love Roses. I hope you decide to keep.
Good Luck,
A.Rose
(P.S. my last name is Rose.)

I had a heart with my first wife's name in it on my shoulder, then we split three months ago, I wasted no time in getting rid of the ink of my youth.

I have a butterfly above my left breast, a rose on my lower left stomach, both done at 17 and 19 yr. I am 54 now and it's just part of me.
