If Christian Gomez can be league MVP, then yes, Becks in MLS will be a success.
The transfer fee will be likely small. MLS doesn't have huge amounts of money, Real haven't any use for him at the moment, and they would lose him for nothing in the summer if they don't sell him now.
Do I like him leaving RM? I didn't like it when he moved there, and I not even a RM fan! His style of play is strickly British.
Currently they are chasing Argentine Fernando Gago, who currently is with Boca Juniors. He's a holding midfielder with great distribution ablitiy. A bit weak on the defensive duties his position holds, but, provided there is a strong defense behind him it's not that big of a problem.
With Gago in their line up, Boca have won three straight championships, and are on the verge of a third (two games to go, and a four point lead.)
They may also be chasing Kaka, but the Gago deal is almost finialized. Still, anything can happen.

Career-wise, actually I think it would be a good move for him. He's already set up some training centres out there and this would be a chance for him to nail the American market. As an English football supporter, personally I'd hate to see it, but I could understand why he might see it differently. His career at Real is certainly over. The transfer fee will be pretty minimal, I imagine. I think Real just want to be shot of him and will take what they can get.
As for the comment in one of the replies about him not fitting in at Real. Frankly he's one of the few players there that has come out with any credit in the last few seasons. I have a friend in Madrid who has told me on numerous occasions that he was popular with the supporters, as much as anything else, because whilst many of the others were barely bothering to try in some matches, he always gave 100%. He has nothing to feel ashamed about in terms of his own efforts there.

Yea I think so. If he can have a successful career in Europe, then he can definitely had a successful career in the MLS. Plus, I think his status will help boost the fan base, since a lot of Americans admire Becks for his star appeal. They may not be the best followers if you know what I mean, but you never know if some of them will actually learn to love the sport, which would be awesome.

Why should he go to MLS? They are like the worst league ever, talent-wise.
