Kelly is all, "He would never have done this to a man!!!", "I have never done this to anyone!!"...BS!!! I have seen her do the same thing to Regis a number of times, and I have seen Simon Cowell place his hand over her mouth, and she laughed it off!!! And, so #1. She is apparently homophobic (not saying Clay is gay, nor do I care, but she might have speculated, and thought he was, or whatever) #2. She is a hypocrite #3. She's just a plain old man-hating femme nazi who turns just about everything into a woman's issue!!! (Hey, Kel....if Regis ever makes the wise decision to fire you, I hear there's an open seat on "The View"!!!!) I know she has a massive ego, but Kelly...a true feminist you are not, by saying women should just take over everything from men, rather than be equal to men, implying more than once that domestic violence against men is cool, and making her husband look silly on national television. Then there's the always telling the world stuff about her kids!!!

I am sorry but where is the question here? Rosie is just a fat lesbo that has to make an issue aout of everything so she keep her name out there. Kelly is hot piece of tail and is just an idiot who should be out of the public by now.

I fail to see the question here, as well. Kelly Ripa probably meant her remark to be a joke and the whole world (via Rosie O'Donnell and Clay Aiken's insane fan club) blew it out of proportion. I'm not implying what Kelly said was okay or agreeing with it, but even celebrities should be afforded the benefit of the doubt every once in a while. Get over it.

I too saw all of what transpired. By no means did Kelly make the remark as homophobic. Clay was rude and would have never pulled a stunt like that with Regis or Rosie for that matter. Now, Rosie gets involved and throws out the gay card. Ok, first of all when did Clay ever pronounce that he was in fact gay? Is Rosie "outing" him? That woman really needs to think before she speaks. Clay owes Kelly an apology Rosie owes Kelly & Clay an apology, for turning it into a "gay thing"

I read a statement from Kelly. In it she explained that before the show, or during the break, Clay had been shaking hands with the members of the audience and in this season of colds and flu, she didn't want his hand over her mouth.

This explanation makes sense to me, since she has children to consider. However, I am not sure if I completely believe this explanation to be true.

Rosie put too much energy into making this a gay issue.

I actually watched the episode. I am from Clay's home state and I was appalled at his behavior the ENTIRE SHOW. His acting was too rude long before that even happened. Every time Kelly would say something about anything, Clay would be like "OK, back on me". He was feeding off the attention of his "clay mate" audience and downing Kelly like crazy. He was ragging on her building up to that point. I was actually surprised that she played it off with a joke like she did, I would have shown some serious anger if it was my show. That joke was how she played it cool without blowing up. I have seen Kelly do things like that to Regis, but they are co hosts. Clay was a GUEST. He shouldn't have acted like the whole show was about him. I have never seen anyone so arrogant.

As far as Clay he has probably been told by his agent it wouldn't be wise to tell the world his sexual preference.I personally don't like him kelly or rossie.I think it all happened all the controversy because of rosie saying the homophobic cause know one really cares about him putting his hand on her mouth it is what was said that caused the probs.

Her putting her hand on Regis's mouth is different because they know each other. Rosie is just a fat angry lesbian.

This is not a controversy. It is pathetic TV publicity for all the irritants involved.
