Can someone tell me what a pansexual is?

I hope this is in the roght category.....I read about it on wiki and I dont understand it. can someone tell me in simple words what it is?

I dont understand wiki's article on it, but it said NOTHING about sex with pans. that I DO understand.

Pansexual means that a person is attracted neither more or less to gender or orientation. By definition, Pansexuals are attracted to people who are straight, gay, lesbian, celibate, transsexuals, or tranvestites. From what I understand, pansexuality means that the person is open to anything - sex with men, women, certain varities of shrubs and articles of furniture, etc. (and why does this bring an image of the average adolescent to mind???).
