i think it's extraordinary! i could play on it all day...like you said, you can travel the world. i think that it's amazing how technology has advanced to a level where you can sit in your home and see the world......wow.

It is an amazing program, it would be nice to see areas updated more often, for example my house appears on Google Earth but the picture is at least 5 years old as there is no boat that my neighbour has not used in the 5 years I have lived here. msn live local shows cars in the street from 2 years ago.
Also the detail is better in some areas then others, I live quite close to a naval dock yard and where I live it is at car level. But where I work approx 10 miles as the crow flies it does not show past large street level without bluring.

I think it is a great tool for visualization. They have spent a good amount of time on the UI and the imagery is pretty nice. It is sort of like an electronic atlas. I have also seen it on TV now; news, weather, sports coverage etc... it is a nice addition.
If this is commercial who knows what we are capable of.

just goes to show big brother is watching you. shame the images are not updated a bit more often. i like looking at places i have been on holiday.

it is really cool. i've got the free version and i think its amazing that you can zoom in with such accuracy.

its great, but spooky - imagine - if we can do that! what can MI5 do???
they are updating it over the next couple of years so we can see so closely as a number plate!
