I am not judging all comedies from Britain, and I know there are some Brits who are sick of Monty Python being the main comedy their culture is known for, but the comedies they show on PBS stations here in the States just can't grab my attention. Even if I understand the jokes I just find myself becoming bored before they even start.

Mind you, I did like The Office and watched it all the way on recommendation by a close friend.

What do you think of the various British comedies imported to the US and aired on public broadcasting?

Keeping Up Appearances is funny sometimes. Hyacinth gets into some tight spots.

The show I liked the most, though, was Manor House. I wish they had made more seasons. That show was NUTS!

I don't know what airs on PBS, but the ones on BBC America are very funny. No Angels is my favourite.
