im going to make a comic book but i have 5 ideas on what to make, i can only make one for the moment. and so i want to know wich one would be a good choice to make
1. samuri story- a young samuri tries to avenge his fathers death
2. superhero story- a funny looking superhero tries to save the city
3. funny story- a average guy is forced to put on "the bling of chaose!"
4. a war story- a man must walk to a military base and plant a bomb
5. a black and white story- a man tries to kill some one with bizzare weapons and gadgets

All of them are ok concepts;
1. A 21st century samurai concept might be a little more cutting edge - especially if it's done in b/w. Modern tech, crime families, gangs, foreign agents...it could work.
2. 'funny' superheroes are getting some press. Comedy Centrals 'Freakshow' being one example as well as a lot of the Cartoon Channel material. However, unless you've got something really catchy in mind - this niche may be a little full right now.
3. See number 2, very similar concept. Maybe a 'follow the bling' story might be more interesting with different characters and circumstances that surround the item?
4. Do it right and it could be good. Do it wrong and your going to offend a lot of people. War is serious business right now, but a gripping story that shows one or both sides of the conflict could reach a lot of people. Maybe something like a flip comic showing the story from both sides.
5. B/W is very underused & I think deserving of more press time. But I'm not sure how well 'bizzare' will look, unless you have a decent artist who can bring it off. It might be more interesting to make the 'bizzare' items the only things in the story that have color and see how that works.
My votes. 1, 5, 4 in that order.

Don't know....by the way, you spelled Samuri wrong! It's "Samurai" not "Samuri". How about you make a story with components of all of 'em! Like a comedy about a young Samurai who tries to avenge his fathers death, except it's like a high-tech version of Japan with wierd weapons and stuff, so he finds the killer, defeats him, but the killer planted a bomb so the kid has to stop it from exploding and ends up becoming a hero! (Me: HOLY CRAP!!! Did I just make that up?!?!? That's amazing!!!!)

in my opinion why not try to make a cross between some of them like 1 and 5 or 2 and 3. just let your creative juices flow and see what spills out, but just ask yourself as you create it what would make you read it if it was done by someone else?
