Words are the treasure chest of mankind, words are gold, if your words are merely for filler space, then yes actions from your words not coming to truth or honesty can be painful.

Actions do speak louder than words.

Yes. You can talk all you want to, but talk itself is nothing compared to actually doing something, or doing something with your words. You are your deeds.

And shouting vulgarities at a person isn't just words, it's an action, so in this sense you wouldn't be just using words but using an action to strengthen them..

Depends on the situaiton. Yes, they can be equally as painful but in certain circumstances one previals.

In one instance, if you are being insulted or being hit...they both hurt (one physically the other emotionally). Now you can gauge that however you like but they both hurt.

But this addage is more pointed toward taking action toward something you believe in (an injustice etc..). In this case, doing something about an injustice is far more useful than just talking about it.

I would have to say that it depends because each situation is different. I think it also depends on who it's coming from. For example, my siblings actions speak louder than theire word, but when it comes from my mom, It doesn't matter what she does, her word is law, and if it's insulting or instructional, I'd prefere for her to just beat me sometimes insdead of just saying things like "I'd thought better of you!"
