Australia just played Sth Africa within the past year.
Australia won the series 2-0 (one draw) in Australia last year.
This was followed by Australia's tour to Sth Africa where they won the series 3-0 (without McGrath).
So based on recent history Australia has one 5-0 with 1 draw.
Australia has since improved their team since then by adding McGrath and Michael Clarke and taking out Kasprovicz and Symonds and are refreshed after a long break.
Not only this but Graeme Smith has a mental problem playing against Australia despite his big mouth. Career batting average is 49.25, and against Australia it is 22.25.
Have I changed your mind?

There has only been one match in the current Ashes games so far, so who knows how England will shape up in the next? The South African cricket team could possibly beat Australia if the SA coach picks the team HE wants and not the team the SA Cricket bosses say the government wants him to pick.

yea....south africa is the only team that can challenge the aussies and beat them!!! they were very unlucky to lose the test series in aussie 2-0.....they dropped a helluva lot of catches...that was the difference between the sides.....2nd test SA had no choice but to declare....the series in SA was very close too....if u look the aussies won very very close matches....so SA can beat the aussies....when warne and mcgrath goes....SA could whoop the aussies!!!! only SA can beat the aussie right now!!! england have no show really!!! im not SA either!!!! these are plain facts!!!

In cricket, nothing can be predicted. However, South Africa in the present form could have performed better than England
