Any police out there to answer. I was driving to work last week, stopped at traffic lights and saw a woman behind me talking on her mobile. All I could do was mouthe to her to get off the phone. I felt really helpless. She could have caused an accident and killed or maimed someone.

Get on with driving your own car, and stop worrying about things that you can't do anything about and could distract you - causing you to crash!

Well one thing you can't do is use your own phone to tell the police whilst you are driving!.. If you really want to do something about it, you could take the vehicle number and make a note of the time and location and then report it to the police. At least you have some sort of evidence if they decide to take it further...calls and locations of phone use can be checked.

Here in Huddersfield, the police have been doing checks and are catching quite a few now. The police are not giving out warnings now, and it is an instant £30 fine which next year is going up to £60 and 3 penalty points....one funny thing was that they stopped a guy on Leeds road and did him for using his phone whilst driving and shortly after they caught a female using hers....it was the girlfriend of the guy and he was warning her not to use her phone as the police were about...don't you just love it!

There really is nothing you can do about it. Nor do the police, as an hgv driver we also see it all the time,. a lot of the time its the police doing it themselves, The only thing they do when they feel in the mood is beep them and beckon them to put it down, unless there is an accident and an accusation is made that a phone was in use .
please do not take the advise of others ie swerving to them or distracting them as u may find yourself responsible for an accident

I see people doing that all the time, and it really annoys me. unfortunatley, there isn't really much you can do about it. You can take the numberplate and report it to the police, but they probably won't do anything about it, because they've got other things they need to do, and the only evidence they would have would be your statement, which would never hold up in court

you'll purely see authentic enforcement of this regulation, and all different site visitors guidelines even as the authorities will advance the shape of uniformed site visitors police officials. contained in the stunning 3 years, there has been a relief of quite somewhat 20% contained in the shape of police site visitors officials, at a time of ever increasing numbers of autos on the line.

i hate drivers like that, but the last time i mouthed off at someone they tried to veer into me. i was terrified. the best thing to do is take down the number plate and report it, although it's a bit iffy if anything will happen.

Give him or her the thumbs up sign. Sarcasm sometimes works best with morons. Hopefully they will recognize the difference between the thumb and the middle finger!

Irritating, ain't it? You could report them to the police (which I'm not), but the problem is it's your word against theirs and not likely to get anywhere.

Just regard 'em as arrogant, brainless idiots and get on with life.

It still goes on all the time even though it`s an offence. You`d also be amazed how many people still don`t belt up, especially in the back.
