This is the reason why it really took guts to make the decision to take out Saddam. Every scenario is damned if you do, damned if you don't. Had Bush not gone in and Saddam ended up launching any kind of attack on Israel, the liberals would be all over Bush for "letting it happen".
There is no way of keeping a Sunni led Iraqi government in power for very long, not when Shi ites are 2/3 of the population (without ruling with an Iron fist like Saddam). Saudi Arabia sure doesn't want a Theocratic Iraq on its border, but they aren't offering much in the way of assistance. Sooner or later, Iraq is going to suffer Civil War. I'd say within 2 months of US troop withdrawal, possibly sooner
