We have developed characters and accumulated gold and supplies...I would hate to lose all that info if we tried and it failed.I want to put it all on the new computer...without starting the game over...

Just install the Guild Wars Client found on http://www.guildwars.com and then re-enter your account info in.. the characters, etc. are stored on the servers, not your pc.. I have done this many of time to play on the road, etc.

a sturdy on line interest for that age of a boy may be Maple tale or Rakion. Maple tale is sturdy for each age. Rakion may be a touch violent or in keeping with possibility slightly "frightening" in case you does not want struggling with video games.
