If a potential employer says that you are overeducated for a job chances are they are afraid that you are just desperate to find a job but once you find a better one -and chances are you will-you will leave that employer

Yes I know two people who were denied positions ,because they had too much qualifications,one of um was more qualifier than the manager of the company. Ant that a *****.Never the less jobs are hard to get. Good luck.

Extremely possible. Ive run into this problem before. A couple years back I was having trouble getting a job that I WAS qualified for, so I tried to get a couple jobs the were "below me," and got shot down because I was over qualified. Thank God those days are over!!

Yes, certainly. If someone with a mechanical engineering degree were to work the checkout counter at the super market, they would certainly possess substantially more education than is required for that job (as an example).

Yes, actually. My cousin Suzanna was in the Navy and on her resume for a job after the military she was nuclear engineered qualified and McDonald's wouldn't hire her. Neither would Wal-Mart.
