It's difficult to diagnose your symtoms without a proper check-up with your doc. Go see your doc & find out for sure, what's going on with your body.

You may not be getting enough sleep. Sleep patterns vary a great deal, some people need less sleep than others, some need more.
Perhaps you could try going to bed earlier, opt for getting about 10 hours sleep at night.
At your age, you will be using a lot of energy. Sleep is the body's way of restoring that energy. If you are burning the candle at both ends, doing things which require a lot of energy, (not just physical, also mentally tiring), you will feel more tired during the day, wanting to fall asleep after being awake for about 2-4 hours.
If you are falling asleep at lunchtimes, is this after you have eaten? Do you eat a lot at lunchtime? If so it could be because your body is using up energy to digest your food, and if where you are is warm, you will feel sleepy.
Do try getting more sleep at night, and please check with your doctor, just in case there is another reason for your tiredness, best to be sure.

You probably DON'T have narcolepsy, or you would fall asleep without warning or any memory of it when you awoke.
Sometimes you need more sleep -- if it's a stressful time in your life, if you're going through a growth spurt (which is totally possible even at 19), if you're extra busy in the daytime, etc. Please don't worry, just try to get more sleep at night. Everyone's sleep needs and habits are different -- maybe you need a nap in the afternoon after school! Also, are you getting quality sleep? 8 hours isn't that much if it's not quality sleep! Try running a fan at night to block out night noises, and cut out caffeine except for maybe one cup of coffee or tea or soda in the morning (caffeine can stay in your bloodstream for a VERY long time).
You might also have an iron deficiency or a sluggish metabolism. If you change the above things and the problem persists, talk to your school nurse or your doctor.
Hope this helps!!

Sounds like you could be anaemic.
I was like this when I was 14 - getting to school & then spending the day asleep in the nurses room.
I had blood tests done & my iron count was down to 6, & the Dr told me it should at least be 12. I had to take iron pills for a year & my mum made me eat liver every Wednesday (bleurgh).
It could be other things like glandular fever though, so you should really go to the Dr before you start taking supplements that may have no effect.

could be a number of things. If you aren't eating a good breakfast it could just be that you don't have enough energy to get through the day.
Other than that, if you find that you're drinking a lot, and needing the loo more than other people, then you might have diabetes (which isn't anything to really worry about, I've got it and I can get on with life just fine)
Whatever it is, if you're worried, just go to your doctor and ask, that's what they're there for

It's natural, your body works in rhythms like that, it's probably started because of you growing older.
Wait till you work in an office and try staying awake in that atmosphere after lunch. I had a sleep at 2 today as my boss was out.

It is important that you go to see your GP to make sure that there is no underlying reason for your lethargy. It might just be the change in your body but at least you can rule out other possibilities.
