type: "free online learning games" into your search window and you should see quite a few results. You could also go to http://www.completelyfreesoftware.com/ They have a lot of good free educational software. One doesn't necessarily need to be 'online' to use learning game software.

hm... My daughter is playing @ The Doll Palace - http://www.thedollpalace.com . Site is built around dolls that kids can create, sometimes they publish interesting articles like this one: http://www.thedollpalace.com/dollnews/Popular-Creatures-of-Ancient-Mythology-aid3839.html . As far as I can see site is helping to develop a styles and fashion.
