Easy, if you can afford to take a lap top in with you which has wireless capabilities use that and then no one would be any the wiser to know what you are up to, since lap tops look like large folders on the desk, well that's one way around from being blocked from your favourite web sites.

Please don't. The poor guys in IT have enough problems with Viruses and other Malwear without you charging off into Myspace to get potentially a whole load more of them.
Also you will probably find that by passing firewalls etc is at least a disciplinary offence if not a sackable one.
Also if you are working on Ebay then you are not working for your employer again not good on your employmnet record.

If you want to keep your job you don't even try to get round it. You are being paid to work not mess on the Internet, and you have no right to use your work's computers, Internet costs, and time, to surf the net for your own gratification. I applaud your employer for blocking those sites and would do the same if I were in their position....
As an afterthought, my husband pointed out to me that a few months ago a number of employees at our local council were fired for doing the same thing you are trying to do.

Well, what you need to do is find a job that doesn't put so much stock in "working". Just get out there and find a place that just wants you to sit at your desk and surf the internet on MySpace, and Ebay all day. How dare they expect you do those things at home.... It is hard to find a decent job these days, but it is even harder to find one where they don't try to overwhelm you with all of that "work". Good luck in your job hunt, and happy surfing. (:

You don't. Whether or not you agree with it, they were blocked for a reason. The powers-that-be will likely be able to track your Internet usage. Why would you want to give them a reason to fire you? If having myspace and ebay access at a workplace is that important to you, maybe you should look for a different job.

If the network administrator has blocked it then you are not getting to those addresses using the company's internet gateway (at least not without them being able to track it) Also, if they have blocked those addresses then they probably monitor internet usage so hopefully you didn't post this using your work computer as it wouldn't behoove an employee to be caught seeking knowledge to circumvent company computer network access controls....

You don't. the sites are probably blocked for a good reason - like employees are paid to do productive work for the firm not waste time. Internet usage by firms is usually limitedn to sites likely to be of value to the firms production or development.

in the event that they blocked myspace on your job, you're able to stop utilising myspace and get decrease back to artwork. If the admin is accustomed to what he's doing, he can see each and each flow you're making on your workstation.

You may not want to get around it. Many companies monitor where you travel on the internet. Your browsing could end up costing you your job. Just wait until you're at home.

Maybe your new employer expects you to work while using their computers, not shop on ebay and play on myspace. Try earning what you are being paid to do.
