Marketing is the key. You have to find a "hook" that makes the customer feel like he NEEDS the product and you have to be able to demonstrate the "value added" ....

marketing. and a bit of social manipulation. you need to figure out the gimmick for this product that sells. look at the ipod, if the ipod didn't have the marketing behind it, it would be yet another unknown mp3 player in the rack. there is nothing that makes it much more speical than any other units, but it's marketed well. they figured out thier demographics and how to market to them, and succedded. i mean, i can't tell you exactly what to do, but i'll tell you that you just need to figure out something that'll make people drool over the product, then you're good to sell.
