Yes, I've seen that movie before. Actually, it is my favorite movie! It did inspire me to play the piano more. I have been playing the piano for about 8 years.

I was already a pianist, but that movie is a masterpiece. I even loved it as an eight year old, who couldn't understand much beyond the music and the scary man in the mask... Guess what I'm watching tonight now!? lol

As a musician, I love that movie. I haven't seen it in awhile, and I doubt I saw the director's cut, since I don't recall seeing Salieri burn a crucifix...I wouldn't be surprised - he was pretty mad at God as I recall. Since I am a musician, I did pay more attention to the musical aspect of it, but you've peaked my interest. I'll think I'll watch it again and pay more attention to that aspect. Overall, I love it. Peace!

I have probably seen that movie more than any other, I was obsessed with it as a kid for some reason. I don't like the added scenes in the director cut dvd though. What's even funnier is to watch that, and then watch him as Uncle Larry in "Parenthhood".

Well, I had already been playing for years when I first saw the play, before it was a movie, so I guess my answer is no.

But it does give a sense of glory to music, doesn't it?
