I won't give the obvious answer, two already have.
With me, it isn't like I've dreamt it before, it is like I've experienced it before, and sometimes I consciously follow it through, and usually reach a point where something doesn't happen as it had previously.
It can happen with everyday things, but not with the things I do often, ie, like making hot chocolate. I just get the illogical feeling that I have done the same thing, or experienced the same thing before, while I am experiencing it.
It is a nicety, which identifies our current action, with an apparent identical memory, it cannot last very long, as almost as soon as it starts, we can swerve from the apparent memory.
It doesn't happen a lot for me, so I try, with very limited success, to keep the feeling when it happens.

definite. it quite is weird and wonderful. it quite is like we've performed that comparable circulate earlier or a technique or the different on an analogous time as we are napping we are able to work out a small glimpse of what's going to take place right here day. i actually wakened and remembered one. It replaced right into a image of a Knight with a chicken on his shelter driving in the woods. i replaced into like ..... what replaced into that approximately. Later that comparable day I watched "Monty Python, seek for The Holy Grail". i might viewed it numerous cases, yet no longer beginning as much as end and the deja vu 2d befell with the Knight with a chicken on his shelter. So I observed a scene from a action picture i might by no potential viewed earlier, yet a technique or the different already had????

I get deja vue quite often. I once dreamt that I was in a hospital ward that was quite dreary and the rooms were divided by walls instead of curtains. 3 weeks later I was sent into hospital and ended up on such a ward. I'd never been in that hospital before.

de ja vu happens when you hear or see something a split second quicker in one ear or eye than the other, a bit like an echo. A sound or soemthing you see travels to your brain quicker on one side than the other then again on the other side, your brain immediately thinks that you have heard/seen that before and belives its from memory.

Doesn't everyone? Personally, my question would be: "what the heck is going on in our brains that causes or results in deja vu?"

yep I've had deja vu several times
I just wish I knew what they meant or if it means I should pay specific attention to that event and if it has anything to do with my fate or destiny
