"But we will not have video technology and stop the game. It would take away the spontaneity and fascination of our game, we must keep football with a human face.

Very bad decision by Blatter. He is practically saying let the referees do all the errors they want coz it means spontaneity. But what if a team that doesn't deserve to win a match, win it because the referee takes a wrong decision? What will they do? Give a punishment for some weeks to the referee and don't do anything abt the injustice...
I think football is heavily influenced sometimes by wrong referee decisions (they are human beings too!) and it will continue to increase if they don't use new technology, after all that's why technology is developing day after day, to help people.
And last thing it will prevent match fixing scandals or things like that from happening again, that's what really damages football.
After all what can you expect from a person like Blatter, with this I said it all...

I have stated the same answer as LavaMan before. The time to review the decision, quickly, accurately and correctly, would take less time than the wasted minutes player after player absorb approaching the referee to make their complaint. I don't know why he is so threatened by progress Juventina. Embracing positive changes is a part of the game as well. It could be worked out without drama if they really wanted to put in the time. Lets face it, there is so much money tied up in the sport now days that incorrect decisions that cost sides games and perhaps places in important competitions will cause more controversy than 40 seconds to review a video replay. The man is rather illogical in many areas.

We dont need Video referees. Football has survived on controversial decisions by referees for over 100 years, its part of the game. I dont care much for Sepp Blatter but on this instance i totally agree with him. Leave the Beautiful game alone!

That's really stupid, the time that the players argue with the referees the latter should take that time to review the video. But they should have a limit on how many times a video could be reviewed.
