I live in a city so I don't need a car, I figure i save about 800$ a month, (gas costs about 4.99$ per gallon in Germany) enough to pay my rent =) think about it...

We could save almost $600-$700 a month. We live 57 miles one way from my husband's job. Gas here in the town where we live is $2.03 a gallon. I can't believe that gas is that much in Germany.

Well....if I didn't have a car, I'd still have to use some type of public transportation......but I'd probably still save like $200 + a month; but getting back and forth to work and everywhere I need to go would become a huge pain in the @ss.â¥

i don't live on a bus route, and my piece of crap car is paid off. so i'd be spending more money without having a car. i'd be paying friends gas money to get to work. and since i work two jobs, that would add up. plus i hate waiting on rides and depending on other people.
my insurance is about $100/mth, and i have a 4cylinder, i only spend about $120 on gas.
Wow! gas is $5 a gallon there? That's crazy! and here i am complaining about $2.50.

I drive a company car with all gas paid and insurance, which is great but I just find other ways to spend my money :(

if I did not have car payments and did not have to buy gas I would save around 1682.00 per month.

I wouldn't save much because I still need to get to work, so then I would have cab fair or pay a friend to take me!

I would save aprx 984.00 each month if i didn't have my cars.
216.00 in gas
600.00 in car payments
120.00 for car insurance
48.00 for 4 car washes
Wow..I need to move somewhere that I don't need a car! I'd have more money for shopping!! :)~
