I have found in my life that we all have disappointments. The great thing is that if we are living right then things always turn out for the best, even if it is not what we wanted to start with. Life is what happens when we are busy making plans. Many times I have planned and planned my life and then when things did not go my way I would be disappointed. Then suddenly the light bulb went on and I realized that when things do not go the way we plan, it is to protect us and direct us to the path we are meant to be on. God is in control. If we live for him, trust in him, he will make all things work together for good. He knows what is best for us. We just need to let go and let God. When you learn to do that, I mean really do that, then it is freeing. When we were young children and we wanted to run out into the street and get the ball that rolled on the road, our parents stopped us. They kept us safe and retrieved the ball for us. When we were a little older and wanted to go to a party with our peers and our parents told us No, because they knew better, they were looking out for us. Our dreams were shattered then, but later when we found out that the party was busted and kids were drinking and arrested, we understood why our parents kept us from what we desired. They wanted us to be safe, happy, secure and live well. Later when the guy down the road was working in a factory for 15 years and lost his job, he was devastated, his dreams and hope shattered. He kept plugging away and lived according to what was good and right and a better opportunity arose and he got a better job. See when one door closes another door opens. That is how God works. We must live according to his word, and he will keep us in his loving arms. Those not living in accordance to God, can't understand this and when they have shattered dreams, they loose hope and better things do not come their way. This is because they have desired the wrong things, made poor choices and dreamed for wrong things. The antichrist has decieved these people and doors close and doors do not open. These are the people who commit suicide, use drugs, become alcoholics, live in risky behaviors and self destruct themselves. This is because they never figured out the rules of the game. See we are all playing the game of life, and we must play by the rules. Winners don't cheat and cheaters don't win. So when you figure it out, there are no more shattered dreams because we learn to ask God what he wants of us and follow his dreams which leads us to internal happiness and we live beyond our wildest dreams. God is awesome!

a dream can only be shattered if it first comes true and then is ruined. However, to destroy something that you've yearned so hard for and then to let it be destroyed means it wasn't that important in the first place. Just a passing fancy. Get a New Dream

Haven't we all? The trick is believing in new dreams and making them come true. Best of luck to you.
