Does anyone think that seniors should be allowed to leave school at 12 o'clock, if they don't have anything constructive to do?

Mimi, lol...I think it might be better than having them hanging around the rest of the day with nothing to do. Some schools do have a policy that seniors can leave after their classes are done to work, attend a voctech or college classes. GBU

Half-days would be starting a very bad habit for a person. This person would expect it all of the time and end up being fired from a job. A person needs to learn how to be creative/constructive to live in the 'real world' so there's no better place to begin than in school. So, NO seniors should not attend school half-days.

I think high school students should be in school from 9:00am to 5:00pm, five days a week, all year round with many constructive things to do. High school students have way too much time off and an 8 hour day year round schedule would build a better work ethic in these students. This morning I overheard one high school girl snivel to her friend about how rough her 16 hour work week is working at Jack in the Box. Poor baby, wait until you get your first full time job.

If have all their credits in, there is not need for them to stay at school just to fill up space.

Give them credit for the fact that have their stats together by senior year rather than having to cram into the schedule all can and pray for graduation.

Encourage to find a part time job if nothing else for this will help fill time, earn income and prepare for the future!

that all depends on the school i left school at 11:30 most of the time but i was in a work study class that allowed me to leave school that early. the only way they should be able to leave is if they already have there credits all done

YES!!
Usually by that time of day, people are ready to leave, and a lot of teachers have given up on teaching. It'll give them more time for work/jobs, and better prepare them to be flexible.

Yeah, but you need to complete your education. You're not quite ready for the real world if you don't want to follow their rules.
