Well you answered your own question, but just for fun if I was allowed to change something in the life of a total stranger and I was not allowed to learn anything about them, I would make them read Platos Republic so they would learn to question everything and not just accept what some official or professional says is true. When you read Plato's Republic, if you believe something to be true, you will question this belief and one of four things will happen. 1) You would know what you believe is true, but more importantly you would have defended your belief and by doing so you would then know why it was true. 2) You would still believe the same thing but any inaccuracies would be exposed and new facts about your belief would be learned. 3) You would discover what you believe is not true and you would know why it isn't true and therefore you would not make bad decisions based on a false belief. 4) You would learn to question truisms -- things generally thought to be true and so ingrained in the culture that everyone accepts it automatically. A good example is mathematics. Some things in mathematics are assumed to be true and mathematicians go on from there. But what would happen if some mathematicians assumed the mathematical principle was false and then started to reason and develop formulas on that basis, what would mathematicians discover? btw, who is Erika?

Huh? even the little things, like a smile, can change someone's life. So how do you know when something you can, or will do, is gonna change their life? I guess if I knew, i would, but I try to anyway. =D, <3, see ya!

Well - this christmas my husband and I contacted our Children's Aid Society and asked if there was a teenager living on their own that wouldn't have a Christmas. We arranged to buy groceries and Christmas gifts annonymously for her. We asked them to suuply us a list of things she needed/wanted. We aslo asked about her favorite things, favorite color, interests etc. and we have put together a gift hamper for her for Christmas - everything from a new winter coat, some pots and pans to some lipgloss and nail polish and bubble bath.

I would use the money to help someone to get out of debt. Debt is a very important issue today I know it wouldnt be much but at least it would be a start.

If I "HAD" to, I don't HAVE to do anything.

I'm busy taking care of my own...like everyone else should be.
