When it comes to a man: a fit body (well defined arms, stomach, shoulders, and back. A gorgeous smile, straight teeth, medium size nose, the shape and color of their eyes, clear skin, clean and sexy hair, fresh breath (and just smells good everywhere), nice skin complexion, and a good dresser.
When it comes to a woman: curvaceous body, flat stomach, beautiful smile and laugh, clear face, straight teeth, full lips, pretty eyes, long silky hair, pretty feet, shaven legs, flawless skin, manicured nails, long eyelashes, and well dressed.

Well I have all the bad qualities the person above me listed as a turnoff, but a nice body, and my husband still finds me attractive. It's different for every guy. Some guys don't care about the face, they prefer a nice body (which seems to be my case :-/), others want a sweet looking face and don't care if they're too thin or overweight or have more weight in one place. For the not so shallow guys, they prefer a personality and looks are just an appetizer.

A friendly nature with a great inviting smile. Then taking care of themselves hygenically - so they always looked well groomed. It's not necessarily the skinniest people or the most good looking people that are the most attractive - especially if they aren't nice people by nature. You can see that by the way their body language and expressions are. I like to see a genuine nice person with a great smile and personality. In the end, that is who I would rather spend time with.

Initially everyone is generally attracted to the "physical" aspects of a person. i.e., facial features, hair, eyes, etc. THEN the personality comes into play.... this person may be physically attractive but have a terrible personality OR they could have a wonderful personality but limited physical attributes. It's a dirty game we play!!

A number of things make someone attractive.
If I meet the most handsome man in the world, and he is a complete asshole or a total idiot, he suddenly is the ugliest guy in the world. Looks don't really do it for me. It's about intelligence, a good heart and a sense of humor.

I would say this is a matter of personal preference. What ever appeals to you would make that person physically attractive. I would say a warm personality, nice smile. Anyone that looked like Brad Pitt would be attractive to me (he!he!).

studies have shown that the majority of the population views people as attractive when their faces are symmetrical. even babies, who are shown pictures of faces tend to smile at people who's faces are symmetrical and evenly proportionate. so if your eyes are off center or uneven and your nose is crooked, you're more likely to be perceived as less attractive. but as always... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Whatever you find in the other person that makes you melt in their presence. I personally like a eyes, chest, and hands.

a nice a** body and a very sexy smile. also a good personality because looks arent eveything, oh yeah a small-medium nose cuz bid noses and messed up teeth are a major turn off
