I remember Scotland Today (Local news programme) were doing a competition on trains...as the 1st tilting train had been developed in Scotland...this must have been early 80's.
Kids were encouraged to draw a picture of a train....Well Doughball here did just that and sat for 1/2 hour every night watching the news just for the bit in the middle when EVERYONE'S train pictures were put on display.
EVERYONE'S except mine I hasten to add!!!
Although I did receive some Scotland today headed paper, a pen and some car stickers...Which considering I was about 10...with no licence and no car were about as useful as condoms in Mother Superiors bedside cabinet!

There's a "Color Your Weather" thing on the weather segment of the news here. I am sorely tempted to buy some Crayolas and draw something. Sure, I'm 38 but I draw like I'm 4.

Yes there used to be a show called Pappy's Playland and he would go on mini adventures and he would always be coloring. It was weird I would sit and watch this grown man color and it was so mesmerizing. Anywho, he would show drawings by kids and mine never was shown.
I also used to send it the games and coloring challenges in the local newspaper but never won anything their either.
