i think the Kabala discribes a period of time before time. And somewhere someone proposed the question; "How could Self prove self to be self'?' Keep in mind this is before time or any 3rd dimensional creation.

Youve got the best question ive encountered so far. It's deep, esoteric.. no true answer for it though coz it's highy hypothetical.
is it possible? well you mentioned the word universe, right? so far, scientists & religious scholars can only explain 5% of the universe. Dark matter makes up most of space & no genius cant tell what it is made out of yet.
Religion is mostly based on the Physical earth's connection to spirituality.. still it's confined on our small planet. not beyond it. Hence we come up with an idea that God & heaven resides within us, within our heart & soul. because you know what?
if we put God up to the heavens, where in the entire universe can we find it?

You sound like you too are looking for the answers. You will find that we are God and that we can at any given time go back to that state of freedom by letting go and going into silence.
How could we know how beautiful we are if we never felt or see those things. It's like a healthy person can never appreciate their health as much as a person who is extremely ill.

There was a time when there was nothing at all
Nothing at all, just a distant hum
There was a being and he lived on his own
He had no one to talk to, and nothing to do
He drew up the plans, learnt to work with his hands
A billion years passed by and his work was done
And his words were these...

Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it, hope you find it
Hope you find me in you

So he had built her elaborate home
With it's ups and it's downs, its rains and its sun
He decided that her work was done, time to have fun
and he found a game to play

Then as part of the game
he completely forgot where he'd hidden himself
And he spent the rest of his time
Trying to find the parts

Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it, hope you find it
Hope you find me in you

There was a time when there was nothing at all, nothing at all
Just a distant hum

Hegel thinks that God somehow looks for himself as he evolves in history.
But referring to your question, no it is not possible, since he can not look for himself beyond himself. his own boundaries are the limit of the search.
