I found with all 3 of my pregnancies everyone thinks they have the best answer or remedy. The thing these people are telling you to do or not do is only going to stress you. Your diet does not need to change. Your body is adapted to the way you eat, and has taught itself to function properly that way. The same will be during your pregnancy. Worrying about nonsense like what you should and shouldn't eat is only going to make for a miserable pregnancy. I changed nothing with my eating habits with all of my pregnancies and I have 3 of the healthiest, brightest children in the nation!

I have had three kids and the only thing I was ever told not to eat a lot of was fresh fish caught in the Wisconsin lakes and rivers because the mercury levels. If you don't want to gain a lot of weight fast stick with your food pyramid. Don't eat a lot of fatty foods such as fast foods.Other wise eat what your feel you can eat. Also it is safe to have filings and teeth pulled when your pregnant I did. Just make sure your dentist is aware that your pregnant. And whoever said you couldn't eat cream cheese and cold meats is full of it. I ate lots of cold meats, salami, bologna, turkey etc. Just remember eat healthy, take your vitamins and your ready to go.

I would NOT get a filling done while pregnant. That stuff they inject into you will go to the baby. You don't want to mess with the formation of your baby. YOu will regret it the rest of your child's life. I'm sure waiting a couple more months for a filling won't kill you.
Don' t eat too much fish...mercury..one serving a week
Drinks lots of water to help replenish baby's amiotic fluid.
take walks around the block once a day.
If you are having morning sickness, try eating small meals more often all day

The dentistry should be no problem, but be Sure to tell the assistant.
When you see your Ob/Gyn Doc, they should give you instructions on foods to avoid, and those that are beneficial. If not, ask for that info, there. In the meantime, eat normally.

You ARe wise to concern yourself with taking care of your body during this time. You ar increasing the chance of having a healthy baby. Good luck

I would suggest buying the book, "What to Expect when you are Expecting". It really is a neat book and you can look back at everything as each month progresses. Congratulations on your new pregnancy. I am pregnant with twins and couldn't be more excited...

I waited until I was 6 months pregnancy to get a dental x-rays and my OB said it was safer than airport x-rays. You should try your best to stay away from oily types of fish, caffeine (sodas, even diet types and coffee) in the first trimester and drink lots of water and milk. I wish you the very best!, Congrats:-)

***Foods To Avoid During Pregnancy***
Raw Meats and Seafood including sushi - all uncooked and rare meats and seafood should be avoided due to high risk of listeria and salmonella poisoning.
Deli meats including hot dogs - these deli meats might be contaminated with listeria bacteria which may result in miscarriage or even a stillbirth. It's safe to eat deli meats if you reheat them until steaming hot.
Refrigerated smoked seafood - for the same reason of listeria contamination. It is safe if they are contained in cooked dishes. Canned and shelf-stable versions are safe to eat.
Raw eggs - raw eggs may contain salmonella. Some Caesar salad dressings, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream and custards as well as Hollandaise sauces may be made with raw eggs. It is best to check with your server in a restaurant; if in doubt, it is best to avoid it. In addition, unpasteurized eggnog should be avoided.
Fish high in mercury - avoid high-mercury fish such as Shark, Swordfish, King Mackerel and Tilefish. Also limit fish intake to no more than 2 servings per week. For more info - read Is it Safe to eat Fish during Pregnancy?
Soft cheese - avoid the following soft cheeses: Feta, Brie, and Camembert cheeses, blue-veined cheeses, queso blanco, queso fresco and Panela. They are safe to eat if they are labelled pasteurized.
Refrigerated pâtes or meat spreads - for the same reason of listeria contamination. It is safe to eat the canned or shelf-stable versions.
Liver - liver is a rich source of iron. However it contains a high level of Vitamin A. Large amounts of Vitamin A can be harmful to the baby.
Unpasteurized milk and juices
Alcohol - many documented fetal abnormalities and birth defects have been associated with alcohol use during pregnancy.
