I have digital tv and a telephone line from them, but i'm moving house and don't want to take ntl with me. From what I hear, you need to have been with them at least a year before you can terminate the contract - is there anyway to bypass this rule? one option is to downgrade to the cheapest price plan and terminate prematurely paying off the remaining subscription costs until completion of the year. Is there another way?

Tell them you're moving, when they want your new postcode tell them something like 3121 (that happens to be Richmond, Melbourne, Australia) . It's what I did.
