I've been diagnosed with reactive arthritis brought on by a bout of food poisoning. This has seen me go from playing football and going to the gym regularly to barely being able to walk on the worst days. The doctor has merely prescribed anti-inflammatories and painkillers and told me that the arthritis will subside in a matter of months. The medication does make a difference but I was just wondering if any of you have suffered from this condition and tried any of the complimentary therapies. If you have can you tell me how you got on and whether its worth looking into? Also recommendations on herbal medicines would be most appreciated as well

Thank-you!

P.S. I know cannabis is supposed to help but I cant be arsed going down that road. The munchies do my head in!

There in no single herbal remedy for arthritis. You have to use combination of some Ayurvedic preparation like Glucosamine , Gold prep ration and others. It is better to consult any Ayurvedic Physician who will prescribe you full regime to get rid of arthritis.

Try Glucosamine Chondroitin complex, double strength. The bottle should have close to or exactly.., 500mg Glucosamine 400mg Chondroitin Buy over the counter - try Walmart for a decent price. Get as large a bottle you can to last you a while (its cheaper that way). Take 3 tablets a day WITH FOOD. It will not cure Arthritis but should make things more tolerable.. Try it for a full month. Also I would suggest double the dosage for the first two days to kick start your system THEN drop to the dosage on the bottle. WARNING!!! If you are allergic to Shellfish or have a thyroid condition - do not take this product!!! And ask your doctor if this product will effect any of the medicines you are talking.

Hello.
Doctors seem to just LOVE dishing out the painkillers and anibiotics and anti-inflammatories dont they! They never seem to be REALLY interested in helping us these days. Prehaps it because they dont have these problems themselves!!!

Anyway, my advice to you if your looking for an alternative to medications is Aromatherapy Oils. There are loads out there and they treat many different problems.

For Arthritis your need to buy yourself a bottle of carrier oil. This can be brought from a health shop, aswel as the following Oils. Ive listed some and their uses so you can choose which ones best suit your need ok. All you need to do is mix the chosen oil with the carrier oil and massage into the areas that affect you. It also helps if you add a few drops of this into your bath and apply the lotion afterwards. It also works best if done first thing in the morning and just before bed. You will need to store the oil in a dark bottle and keep it out of sunlight ok.

LAVENDER - (This is safe to used neat on the skin without a carrier oil if you choose).
TREATS - Muscular aches n pains. Nerve Sedative.

CYPRESS - Cramps. Poor Circulation. Antipasmodic. Aches n pains.

FRENCH MARJORAM - Antipasmodic. Backache. Arthritis.

EUCALYPTUS - Osteoarthritis. Backache. Muscular aches n pains. Local circulation stimulant.

Hope this is of some help

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/Zwl1J

A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

The best remedy I have EVER come across for arthritis is celery seed tea. It is available from most health food shops and will relieve your symptoms significantly.
2-3 cups per day and you should feel the benefits very soon.

My sister is a distributor for Sasco Products "Consumers' Choice," in which arthritis is a main focus. the dietary supplement "RheumAloe"(tm) is a unique combination of glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and aloe vera with other all natural ingredients that "may" help lessen joint discomfort, increase joint mobility, stimulate cartilage formation, detoxify and cleanse the body, strengthen the immune system, provide vitamins and minerals necessary for enzyme activation. She swears by their products, and in fact she has taken most of their beauty products now for 30 years and everyone marvels at how youthful she looks at age 58! Look for a distributor in your area. Good luck!

Set your laptop alarm to ring hourly—stand in place for 1 to 5 minutes each and every time it goes off.
