it was on good terms, just grew apart and we both knew it. Anyway, she kept the ring, said she wanted it as a memory, I however still have the wrap. Should I ask for it back or just forget about it, I still love her very much and don't want to be heartless?

Get it back. An engagement ring is not a gift in the regular sense of the word - it is a symbol of the promise to marry. Ask for it back, go through her mom, whatever....

You have a right to it because the engagement was broken off by both parties, however if you are not sweating it, I say let her keep it. No other woman is going to want a ring you brought for someone else. But I guess you could always trade it in....

I would sit down with her since you are on good terms. Talk to her about it, and decide together whether or not she should keep it, or give it back. If she doesn't want to give it back, then give her the wrap to go with her ring.

According to Judge Judy..lol....If the relationship was broken up by the female she has to return it, and if the relationship was broken by the male the female gets to keep it. In this situation I would tell her your concerns and that you cant afford to keep paying on something that is not yours any longer. Ask for it back, you deserve it. Her memory is the time you shared together.

i would ask for it back. THat isn't right. she's probably gonna pawn it! she doesn't want a memory. I kept jewerly my ex gave me only because i wore it all the time. I like wearing jewlry in general. Unless your ex is going to wear the ring she should give it back!

you should tell her that you in trouble because of the ring
if your on good terms she'll understand.
tell her holding on to sentimental things will stop her from moving on and starting afresh or you could always share the cost.
tell her you dont want the last memory of you too together to be one huge debt!

you shouldn't ask for it back, it should have been her who should have given it back, but it would be heartless of you to ask for it. Just hint on it or something, but don't ask for it directly. if you love her, why aren't you two together?
