This isn't really an answer, but I feel like I should say something b/c I know if I was you, I'd want to know....
I don't mean to scare you and I'm really *really* sorry if I am, but there is a really high risk of breast cancer for women who have been on the pill for years and then come off--particularly if they have never been pregnant before. I was just talking to my doctor friend (regular pcp) and she was telling me how she just diagnosed a woman with breast cancer--the woman was 30 years old. Her only risk factor was the pill. Also, my mom died from complications from what was originially breast cancer. She was 48 when she died, but she was on the pill for about 6 or 7 years before the first time she was pregnant. I mention this in particular because you are trying to get pregnant and there is one type of breast cancer which is particularly agressive and which is almost always never caught until after pregnancy. This type of bc can kill within six months and then that woman is faced with the ugly choice of having to save her baby's life or her own. It could totally be nothing, but please do get checked out (like a mammogram or something) before you try just in case. Thanks for reading and God bless! I will keep you in my prayers! I'm sure it's probably nothing, but it's just that I would want to check first, too, if it were me.
Thanks!

I think doctors tell you to wait to try to get pregnant after stopping the pill for a few months because the pills are still in your system and it can cause birth defects .........so give it a couple then try .........i personally use an i.u.d some people worry about ectopic pregnancy with the i.u.d but i think its much better than having to take pills and put chemicals into your body on an i.u.d you just take it out and you can get pregnant the next day if your ovulating but with the pill you have to wait because of the chemicals ................good luck

Yes it should be easy, unless you have some sort of female problems, if you are going off the birth control to have a baby I would talk to your doctor first so the can tell you when it would be easeier for you to conceive. Best of Luck on TTC!

It depends on what kind of birth control you where on. If it was a hormonal birth control it may take longer than someone using a nonhormonal form of birth control. You have to realize that it can take even healthy couples up to a year to conceive. Hopes this helps and good luck to you.

Every woman is different!! I was on the pill for 6 years and came off in January. It took me 9 months to get pregnant. But there are stories of women who get pregnant the day they stop it seems!! My doctor told me to not worry about problems until I had been off for a year---that's when they would run more tests if we hadn't concieved naturally! :)
Good luck and have fun!! :)

It depends on your body. I was on birth control for a year and it took us 8 months to get pregnant. So it just depends on how your body reacts to the birth control.

It depends on what kind of birth control you were taking. Some you should be able to get preganant soon after you stop taking it others you would have to wait up to a year or a little more before you can get preganant.

Nope~it should be extremely hard. Thats why I always used condoms. Birth control messes with your insides my dear. It make take a while to get that out of your system so be patient and relax.

Me and my wife took almost two years after she stopped the dep. Shot to get pregnant. The Dr advised us it needed to be at least one 12 months as a result of the high chance of beginning defects within the first 12 months after the dept. Speak to your Dr and let him recognize what your plans are.

I would prepare yourself that it might take a while! It usually does not but it might. I think that you should return to normal about 3-6 months but it could be right away or it could take longer.Just do not set yourself with unrealistic goals
Good Luck !!
